I implemented a simple mail spam filter on VectorStar that you can configure/tweak/hack to your own needs.
make a file in your home directory called ".mailban". In this file, on each line of the file, type in an email address or domain name that you want to ban from sending you email. Save the file and enjoy a life without nasty spam from that address or domain! There were many more powerful and complicated (and HORRIBLY slow) implementations I looked into before just writing my own mail filter. I think this will suit the needs of the vast majority of you.
