| The short version is that I really don't intend on supporting Java. Despite claiming the status of "universal", "platform-independent", and "implementation-independent", it's not. I've found Java to continually be more of a pain in the ass than just writing stuff in C. Or, if doing something better suited for, say, web interfaces, going with PHP and javascript, ala AJAX, since it's much easier to write, at least as portable as Java in the real-world, and more fun. :)
