If that's the case then they should have a day for plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc. Or we could just be happy that we get paid more money for sitting at a desk and pushing buttons then people who are busting their asses out in the hot sun all day!

I've pointed it out before and I'll point it out again. Anybody can work out in the sun hauling logs or hammering nails, but it takes a serious amount of education and experience to get into a systems admin or network admin position. I fully agree that computer guys are absolutely lazy, but you gotta remember--we earned that right.

Your right it does take education and experience to become a computer geek. Bust most of them let their "expertise" get to their heads releiving them of any respect that they may deserve. There are plenty of exceptions of course. But regardless, I still don't think they deserve their own day. I think that having a day like that will just add more fuel to the egos.

I think in this case it falls under the same aspect as putting a fire out with gasoline.
This may quell the rebellious attitude of a lot of geeks
